Copyright
permission requests
Any individual
or organization who wishes to copy or excerpt material, including
text, photographs and maps, from a Coconut Press publication
(including this web site) must request and receive permission
from Coconut Press before the information can be used. All requests
must be in writing.
No part of
a Coconut Press publication may be translated, reproduced or
transmitted in any form by any means, electronic or mechanical,
including photocopying, recording, or by any information storage
and retrieval system, without permission in writing from the
copyright holders, except brief extracts by a reviewer for use
in critical articles or reviews.
The following
information is required in order to process copyright-permission
requests:
1. Title
of the Coconut Press publication from which the information comes.
2. Page numbers
(or, if this web site, page titles) upon which the material requested
appears.
3. How and
when it will be used. If in a book or other publication, please
tell us the type of book (hardcover or paperback, trade or textbook),
the estimated number of pages the completed work will have and
the planned retail price. If a magazine or newspaper article,
list circulation numbers. Also please tell us estimated date
of publication. If for a pamphlet or other handout, please tell
us the number of copies you will be making. If the material is
for educational purposes, please state that it will be distributed
free of charge.
